Use at high noise level

The ear protector Dräger ComTac-ThroatCom is suitable for work in environments with a very high noise level (offshore area, shipyards) and under other extreme operating conditions (helicopter, machine rooms).

Ear protection and radio communication in one piece

The ear capsule of the Dräger ComTac-ThroatCom is a combination of active ear protection and communication system. The user can communicate in a very noisy environment as sudden pulse sounds that might impair hearing are absorbed digitally. As soon as the noise level is back to a tolerable level, the ear protection switches to hearing and the ambient noise is amplified again.

Direction-oriented hearing

Two outer microphones transmit the sound into the ear capsule. The ear capsule reproduces them in stereo which allows the user to hear the direction of the sound.

Perception of low ambient noises

The microphones for active ear protection are adjusted via an easy to operate volume control. Especially low ambient noises are perceived better than without active ear protection.

Universal connection

The ComTac-ThroatCom is especially designed for the integration into the full face helmets Dräger HPS 6100 and HPS 6200. Via the Dräger standard stereo jack, the transmitter/receiver unit can be connected to any Dräger PTT module (C-C400/C-C500), for analog and digital radio communication.

Different versions

For direct voice recording, the ComTac-ThroatCom can be equipped with a standard throat microphone or with a bone microphone attached to the headset.
