Working with heavy-duty breathing apparatus

Confined spaces. Contaminated air. Dräger protects.

Constricted, dark, cold – these are frequently the conditions when working in confined spaces.

Working under these conditions becomes even more difficult if there is the danger of substances being absorbed via the respiratory tract. Additional challenges occur when the ambient conditions do not remain constant, for instance, if the air composition changes because of a gas leak. If measuring for safe levels has shown concentrations above the limit for filter devices or insufficient oxygen was diagnosed, there is only one solution: Working with heavy-duty breathing apparatus. Depending on how long the work takes and how much space there is to move in, different types of self-contained breathing apparatuses provide the best solution. For these purposes, Dräger offers a wide range of hose-supplied and self-contained apparatuses. Alternatively, combination (airline with an escape bottle) self-contained escape devices can also be considered.
